How is the gold rate in Kuwait calculated?
The Kuwaiti dinar is linked to a basket of currencies dominated by the US dollar, so its dollar rate moves a little. Price per gram = gold price per ounce in USD ÷ 31.1035 × dollar rate in dinars × purity. Prices are shown with three decimals (fils).
The Kuwaiti dinar is one of the highest-valued currencies in the world, so the gram price in dinars is a small number shown with three decimals.
Popular karats in Kuwait

Making charges and VAT
There is currently no VAT in Kuwait, so the price of a piece is the gold value plus the making charge. When you sell, gold is bought back at the buying rate without the making charge. The table "gold price with making charges" on this page estimates the final price per gram; change the making charge to match your shop.
